A ghetto is a part of a city in which members of a minority group live, especially because of social, legal, or economic pressure.

This is a new segment on my blog called “STYLE FILES” where I style a specific piece of clothing. As usual, all items can be purchased from the TOPSHOP website:

1. The Centre of Attention - Embroidered Crinkle Smock Dress // £36.00
I was trying to find an item of clothing to make the “centre of attention” when I was browsing through the TOPSHOP website, and I fell in love with this smock. I am a strong advocate for loose fitting clothing, because it gives room for the body to breathe, and I’m sure this could keep you cool in summer and warm in winter depending on how you dress it, for example, in the winter you could wear black tights, a fur coat and a chunky boot.

2. Hat - Floppy Wool Fedora Hat // £35.00
It was between this hat and a bulky black bag, and I chose the hat because it’s summer in Namibia now, and I wanted to take advantage of that fact - not that you can’t wear a floppy hat in the winter, don’t get me wrong.

3. Shoes - Jest Flatform Monk Shoes // £50.00
Not only do creepers give me height, but I genuinely like the design of the shoe. The exaggerated platform and buckle on this particular shoe, however, add subtle detail to the entire outfit.

I hope you liked this new segment. I’m planning on doing some more blog posts on my own clothing, but until I get my camera sorted, I hope you don’t mind me pulling items from different websites.
